From Idea to Production with Voxdale's Hardware Design and Engineering
To successfully launch Zyzo, all the phases of the product development process needed to be covered: from the initial idea, to emotionally better connecting the elderly with their family, over user research, software and hardware design to pilot series production in China.
Voxdale handled the entire hardware design and engineering part of the project, delivering production-ready tooling drawings for our Chinese moulding company. The biggest challenge was to follow up the hardware production and software integration abroad. Voxdale ensured that the hardware production process proceeded as planned, and solved the inevitable hiccups swiftly.
Introducing Zyzo: A Touch Screen Communication Device for the Elderly with Added Functionality
The result is a unique communication device with a touch screen to help the elderly to stay in contact with their children and grandchildren by sharing pictures and video messages through an application.
An extra feature consists of scheduling appointments and reminders on the display’s clock.
